“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:8

Did you ever stop and think of what your daily routine is like? Where you go? What you do? What you say? What you think?

Our Actions — Do your actions show others that you are a child of God? Do you “act” like a Christian only when it’s “convenient” or are you obedient to God no matter what situation you are in?

Our Thoughts — What do you think about? Are you pondering on things of the world? Are your thoughts giving birth to sinful actions?

It is extremely important that we ask ourselves if our thoughts, actions, and speech follow the “check-list” given to us in Philippians 4:8. Write this verse out on stick-it notes and put it all over the house if you have to. If you are struggling in a certain area of your life that you know you aren’t holding to this verse, then put this verse someplace where you will read it often.

God just doesn’t “want” us to follow out this verse, but He calls us to do it. We are commanded to think on, speak of, and act out the things
of God.

Does your life pass the “check-list” in Phil 4:8?
