I’m in the van, on the way home from PA. The viewings are over. The funeral is over. But one thing is not over… the song in my head!!!

Most of my family is catholic, including my aunt. Which meant they had a catholic funeral for her. Now, I’m not catholic, so the whole mass/liturgy routine is not something I’m used to. I have attended catholic funerals and weddings before, so I kinda knew what to expect – lots of singing and repetition. And now that one of those repetitive “phrases” is stuck in my head! Not only my head, but my Mom’s head as well! ACK!!!

So this got me thinking…. what gets stuck in your head?

A song?
A phrase from a movie?
A popular phrase?
A commercial jingle?

As Christians, God’s Word should be “stuck” in our head. Whatever we read in the morning should replay over and over in our heads throughout the day. And we should pray that God would remind us of His Word constantly.

When you get something stuck in your head, ask God to replace it with His Word.

Instead of a jingle… how about a Proverb.
Instead of a phrase… how about a command.
Instead of a movie line… how about a promise.
Instead of a song, how about a Psalm.

May God’s Word get stuck in our heads!!!
